Shoes may be worn only if the feet are off of the blanket, in the grass or sand.

Certainly not on the blanket.

No, tramping dirt from you shoes to the picnic blanket would defeat the purpose of the blanket.

I wouldn't wear shoes anywhere but I'd keep my feet off the blanket completely, that's what it's there for, to keep the sand and dirt out of the food.... putting any kind of footwear or dirty bare feet on there defeats that purpose.

NO - but then I dont' wear them TO the picnic either! Generally shoes should stay in the closet, where they belong.

No, it's a form of disrespect...an action of not caring. Unless you place your feet on the outside of the blanket then you're fine.

No, that would ruin the blanket. It´s much better remove shoes and socks, and remains barefoot.

NO. That's a dirty habit. You should take off your shoes and leave them on the grass off the blanket. Picnics should be causal and relaxing.
