"toning" is nothing more than increasing the amount of definition which comes from the reduction of body fat. unless the amount of lean body mass is increased there has to be a reduction of total body weight. you can not lose body fat and not increase muscle mass and remain at the same body weight, it's physiologically impossible.

I would suggest eating more protein because that will help you gain muscle mass quicker. Egg whites and Chicken breasts are high in protein and low in fat.

No need to diet. Be sure to eat healthy though to keep your energy up and to keep you healthy.
