It is impossible to be precise as the number depends on many factors - whether you shoot jpeg, tiffs or RAW, the resolution you shoot at, the megapixel count of your camera. The handbook should give you some idea. however, of what you should expect to get.

Everything will depend on the MP of your camera, the resolution you have set the camera at, and the file type you choose to shoot with. For example, a 5MP camera shooting JPG format at top resolution approx. 120 pictures. It would be a lower number had you chosen TIF or, for those with DSLR's, RAW formats.
