my son wants to buy a truck,is it a good deal?

it is a 1984 gmc sierra, nothing wrong with it, except the heat and a/c don't work. the guy wants $500.00. should I buy it?

Your own mechanic would be best equipped to inspect the truck and make that recommendation. I can't see it from here.

If you do buy the truck, some tools would be a pretty good investment as well. $500 trucks can teach a kid a lot of good mechanic skills.
