The most important factors in creating spin is striking the ball with a downward blow and a soft covered golf ball. This is similar to hitting a slice in tennis or ping-pong. A softer cover on the golf ball will allow for more spin to be created (Titleist Pro V1). You want to also make sure you have clean and sharp groves on your clubs. Golfsmith sells a tool for under $30 you can use: http://www.golfsmith.com/products/8287?PHPSESSID=8b70c9d64c4fcae2d3c114cfdc0b725a

Good luck.

make sure your wedges are clean and the grooves are sharpened, and make sure to always accelerate as you are coming through the ball. this generates the spin. also use a top quality ball that generates alot of spin like a prov or hxtour
