It depends on what you mean by love. Honestly you will never forget them and there will always be a weird feeling you get when you think about them even years later. In my opinion when you love someone and it is real then it's like giving a part of yourself to them and you never forget that and when you see them or think about them it's like that part of you that is missing just aches inside of you. I guess some people see that as still loving because it hurts but it is possible to get over someone. They just will always somehow be with you though.
Lol. I'm sorry if that was confusing.

Easier said than done. No. If you truly loved that person, you will always care or have feelings for him of her. Those feelings should dull over a very long period of time though. I was engaged to my best friend and he broke it off. I don't hate him and 2 years later I know that I will never stop caring for him. It is only when you love again that those feelings can be put behind you into memory. Would I take a bullet for my ex? Yes. Would I let him know that? Never. Time is not a healer, it is more of like Neosporin on a wound. It helps a little, but the pain is still there, just a little faded.

Do i ever? or i rather would state question did i ever stop loving..... ? Its not like i had it happened to me all the time or i do it for a living. It happened once or twice though, but mainly because he turned up on me and start switching totally, i.e. suddenly seem too boring, very jealous, possessive, not smart, etc. You can tell your heart who to love and who to not love, and when to start or stop so i believe the only reason why we stop loving is if our partner was trying hard to stop it but not conscientious. So if a person keep hurting you, you instead of loving that person more, start reverse process to the point where love dies.

If that person hurt you deeply there is no reason why you should even consider that true love. Had it been true love you'd still be together. See my point? You may still have certain feelings for that person of which none are love!

You will stop loving with time adn when you decide its time for someone new! But, you will never forget! All you can do is learn from that and take it with you through life. Whatever doesnt kill you makes you stronger! So whever you may fall in lifes path, pcik yourself up and try again! Lifes too short, so live it up with no regrets! Just relax and enjoy the ride! Lifes an adventure...you never know what the fututre holds! Have fun!

Yes. I was dating someone for six months and he'd told me that we'd be together forever, that we'd run away when I turned 18, blah blah blah. Then we broke up, but still hung out. I knew that I still loved him, but I didn't know his feelings for me. Then I decided to move on and date again. He stopped talking to me for a while. We still did, but he seemed annoyed by the fact that I was over him. Then we began to flirt with my best friend and she would flirt back. Fianlly it all blew over and me and him don't talk anymore. What seemed like love, was just a fling.

I pray to god thats so. I hurt someone very badly a while ago in an effort to get them to move on. I just hope that someday he can be happy and forget about me.

Sometimes no. You will change the way that you love them, but I think that everyone has that one person that they will just love forever, even if they're not with that person and know that you never will pursue a relationship with them again.
