Where you bright enough to get gabby tested and ennoculated to prevent gabby from getting it from Chunk if he didn't already have it? Prevention goes a long way.

FeLV can be transmitted through saliva, and through sharing food dishes.

It is unlikely that Gabby caught it through such a small incident, but do call your vet and get her tested for it just to be safe. Tell them when she ate from his bowl as I'm not sure how long it will take before you can get an accurate positive result for FeLV.

Not sure of FELV/feliine leukemia being contagious by saliva...check with your vet and maybe another vet, definitely. FIV/ feline AIDS definitely is contagious by blood/saliva.

Sorry you are going thru a hard time with your cat but know you did your best for him. Good luck.

yes but leukemia is usually not passed on as easily as that it is passed on by bites. take him in for a check though to be safe. Sorry about your cat.

IT CAN BE TRANSMITTED THROUGH SALVIA, SCRATCHES, ETC. I WOULD TAKE GABBY TO THE VET AND HAVE HER CHECKED ALTHOUGH I DON'T KNOW IF IT WOULD SHOW UP THIS SOON. BUT BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. SORRY ABOUT YOUR OTHER CAT, THEY CAN BE BORN WITH LEUKEMIA AND CONTINUE TO PASS IT ON FROM LITTER TO LITTER.

You should definitely take your cat to the vet. You may want to take any other pets you have to, just to give yourself a sense of security knowing that all your other pets are okay.
I'm very sorry about your cat, and I hope your other cat is okay.
