im getting my hair cut tommorow and i so do not know how i want it cut. my hair is about 3inches below my shoulders. dark hair not to fair skin my face shape is oval. please help.

Well it's difficult without seeing you, but a few pointers,
oval faces suit most styles, jaw length, shorter etc, so that's a plus.
If you're happy with the current style, just get a trim to keep it healthy.
If you're hair is fine, get a volume adding cut, eg blunt, cut straight across, ask for some mousse product to increase shape and volume.
If you have a larger forehead, a fringe might be an idea, it can be thick or delicate, pushed to one side.
The best thing you can do is flick through some hair magazines and have a chat with the stylist.

Try not to be afraid of a haircut. Haircuts can be the start of something really good for you. a lot of people are afraid of haircuts however you have to sometimes just do it! I know it is hard to pick out a haircut but you and only you can make that choice. I think you should go out to the wig store and try on a couple of wigs that are in different styles to see what would look good on you. there is also a web site that kind of does the same thing.(I'm not totally sure of the web site (sorry).
If you are confident in your hairstylist and you know he or she would not steer you wrong,then be strong and confident in yourself to rock a new haircut.

If you want to glam it up a bit, put some fun layers around the face and chop it an inch or two! Do you have side bangs? If you don't, cut them a half inch below your eye! Here's a link that may help you with some ideas:
