It's political correctness gone mad.

I've never seen a "coexist" bumper sticker. They must not have made it to my area yet. But coexisting is the only sensible solution. Just because a person holds a different religious opinion from another individual (or group) doesn't mean that there's an excuse to not coexist peacefully. Any rational person understands that disagreeing with someone doesn't mean that the opposition is suddenly the enemy. There are plenty of religions that conflict with my own, but coexisting is mandatory.

The problem is that there are several different designs for the bumper sticker, and the designers are having a fight over which one they are going to choose. All the designers believe that theirs is the only true design and that all the other designs are wrong. They completely fail to see that every design carries basically the same message and that it doesn't matter which one you choose. So people become sick of seeing the different coexist bumper stickers and go out and get a joke bumper sticker instead.

Because it's a great thought. I have a shirt from the House of Blues in New Orleans that has the symbols from the 11 major religions with the words, "Unity in Diversity" on front. It's a nice thought. I also have a bumper sticker that says, "Blessed be", but I guess that's another issue.

Makes sense to me, one set of beliefs cannot coexist with another set of conflicting beliefs.
You cannot have a society where one group believe murder is okay and another group believes it is wrong, they will be at odds against each other and guess which side is evil?
Many religions are based on man, so they can be made to coexist because why not, just alter it and make it work, like a square peg in a round hole. All you got to do is pound it in hard enough. But then the truth comes along and says "hey, you can't put a square peg in a round hole, they don't go together" and wrecks the whole thing.
That truth messes everything up, like, "don't play out in the street or you might get hit by a car!" or "don't play with fire or you might be burned!"
Christians love the truth and like to present it, so in a way they are just like loving parents in a society.
What about this example:
"What if your religion is to play in the streets? What right do they have to force the truth down people's throats? Oops, there goes another kid, run over by a car. Who do these people think they are to limit our liberties, we can play in the street if we want to! *splat!*"

Get a Bible, a Qur'an, Baha'i scriptures, the Bhagavad Gita, the Talmud, etc. Go to the indexes of each book. Look up the same subjects, and you'll see that you're able to compare subjects 'til kingdom come. Yes, they are more similar than different. The spiritual teachings of every religion are the same, it's the laws and outward expressions of these religions and ways of worship and and the ways that these religions are organized that differ, that's all.
In fact, go to this website to download a FREE library of appx 1,000 religious books. It's a large download, 25 megs, and worth every minute of the wait. You'll be able to compare religions with this library.

Correction: Only the religions that have their foundations from Abrahamic roots cannot co-exist with the others because they are always condemning the others and insisting on their way. But once the same treatment is showered upon them, they will cry victim and murder.
Most other religions or non-religions CAN co-exist with each other from Pagans to Buddhists to Taoists to Atheists to Hindus up to even the new ageists have done and have been doing so far... despite their differences.

nah. we could all coexist, but it takes an open mind and an open heart to do so.
to each their own. but some people dont live by that and feel the needt to change the world with violence. I dont think religion is the problem. Its more the extremists who are taking it way too far.

Is God so weak that he needs man to defend Him? All religions can coexist. All it takes is a commitment to never hit anybody about God.
