I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 year old son. I use Dreft laundry detergent and I use Johnson's Baby bath and shampoo. Should I still be using all of these products? My husband has been on me about the Dreft for a while now. He told me to switch to Tide which is what we use. Not sure why I can't let go of the Dreft. And for the bath products, I am just unsure of when to stop and what to use next.

Its really up to you. About the Dreft...I stopped using that when my son was about 1 1/2. It wont really hurt them to switch to regular unless they have really sensitive skin. About the bath products, I still use them and my son is 3 1/2. I'm going to keep using them until he can wash his own hair! I love the way they make him smell! :)

I gave up the Dreft when my kids turned one as for baby products I still use them on my son and he is 4 I don't think I will give that up till next year when he starts school! There is no right or wrong in what you are doing!

My son is almost 5 and I still use baby bath on him. As for the Dreft I quit using that after he turned 1. It would be ok to stop using Dreft now. As for Baby products you can keep using them. I would never use regular soap on a child until they are way older. Due to it burning their eyes and such. Hope this helps.

You should definitely switch the detergents from Dreft to whatever is suitable for your family. Little babies skin is very sensitive but as they get older you don't have to worry about it. As far as the baby shampoo or baby wash, my 11 year old still uses it. I think it smells so good and he does not mind. When he starts fussing, I'll change it to something else. :)

I never used Dreft at all with either of my kids, I really don't think it is necessary at all unless you know your baby has sensitive skin. I stopped using the Johnson & Johnson's when they starting asking for other stuff they could pick out on their own.

I stopped using dreft after the first bottle is gone. It is when they are tiny infants when you have to worry about those things. Toddlers are pretty resiliant. You can get rid of the dreft, but the Johnsons would be fine until they are pre-schoolers.

hi. you can stop with the Dreft. That's mainly for newborns. I am 27 years old and my son is 5, we still you use baby products. It keeps or skin soft. and it is good for sensitive skin also.

My children are 5 and 6 years old and I don't use dreft anymore, but I do still use johnson-n-johnson lotion, shampoo, and vapor bath. I even use the vapor bath and baby lotion. Love them.

Doubt you really need the Dreft and there are whole lines of childrens soaps and body washes as well as shampoos and conditioners. Look in the childrens aisles.

You can switch to normal detergent, since their clothes need deeper cleaning now that they are walking around and falling on the ground. Try something without perfumes, so that it doesn't irritate their skin.
There's no need to switch from baby shampoo until the kids specifically ask you for something else (when they are teenagers). They are not all that expensive, they smell good, and they are also good for adults because they are mild.
