I don't know that I could pinpoint a best but here is my latest favourite. It is, when frying chicken breasts don't panic if they are sticking just wait a little longer and they will unstick themselves once they are cooked enough to flip. It has saved me a lot of headache lately and given me more peace.

My grand mum was a proper cordon bleu and she once told me: 'never EVER try a new recipe when having guests over; try the recipe first among relatives who will be happy to be honest and tell you what they think'. Ever since this day, i've kept her wise advise. So simple but so true!

Wow, that's a tough one. My mom taught me how to core lettuce by whacking it on the counter. And a chef I worked with once taught me the proper way to take the rinds off fresh pineapple, canteloupe, and honeydew. Made my job a lot easier!

To cook using olive oil... it keeps pasta noodles from sticking and it is a healthy alternative to many sauteeing and frying recipies.

well, i just started to learn to cook. my aunt taught me that if i the temp on the stove at a medium setting its easier to not burn what you are cooking. im just so impatient.
