Not sure on a total price because we're not done yet since we're getting married in May '07 but we're doing most everything ourselves or with the help of friends.
We're getting married in his sis's backyard, borrowing tables and chairs from her church and doing the decorating ourselves. I've done all my own flowers, bouquet, corsages, boutineers, table arrangements, everything with silks I've bought at Hobby Lobby, Michael's and the Dollar Tree.
The wedding cake is being made by someone who does them professionally at a local bakery but does it as a side job also and the cost is $100 for a 3 tiered cake that will feed 100. The groom's cake is being made and donated by one of my friends.
The reception is potluck meaning that everyone will bring something, we do that alot here in the south. I have a starter list of things I planned on having and they just pick what they want to bring and put their name by it.
A dear friend has offered to do all the photography since this is her hobby, so that will be free.
My brother-in-law is a pastor and isn't charging me anything.
A dear friend from England offered to buy my wedding dress since she couldn't be here in person, that was a God send! The groom will be wearing overalls since we are having a good ol country wedding and the guests will come in comfy denims too.
The music is downloaded off the web and burned onto cd's by us.
Just think of who you know and what services they might can offer at a free or reduced price and don't be afraid to ask!
Good luck and Happy Wedding to you!!

The minister was about $200
Wedding at a park next to the ocean $0
Sundress from Macy's $60 (very informal for all, husband had a pair of slacks and a button up shirt he already owned)
Only really close friends and family at a decent restaurant about 15 people ($400) (we went to a bar right after the ceremony and had a couple of drinks... everyone pretty much bought their own drinks... then restaurant)
And then a great little private bed and breakfast for the two of us for two nights ($400)
Total=$1060
You can always have a bbq or party at your place to invite other friends, coworkers, etc to celebrate. Let people bring some food or drinks, you provide the place and the opportunity to get together.

I'm not married yet. But I plan on having my grandma make my wedding dress and having it at a church with not a lot of guests. Maybe my boyfriend's family can cook something.
It'll be pretty cheap. Why put in so much money for something that will last one day?? Save up for a house instead.

I spent $3500
I went online to OrientalTrading.com & got my invatations, bubbles, favor bags, & cake utensils. Then I made all of the bouquets & center pieces myself. I got both of the cakes from Albertson's & they were beautiful. I had a local Bbq place cater my reception & I got Fruit & Veggie trays from Costco. I had my ceremony at my church which was free & then the reception at a Big Banquet Hall in a local Hotel. The bridesmaids paid for there own dresses. And for everything elses we searched around for the cheapest prices. Thats how I saved! The only thing I really spent money on was the photographer, beer & my dress... :)

We were really lucky in that my husband is in the military, so we were able to be married by the ship's Chaplain. We used the the base Chapel, too.
Since our wedding was really basic, costs were really easy. My flower girl's dress was about $20. My son's suit was $50 + shirt was another $20. My husband wore his dress blues, and I bought my gown on eBay ($75... + $40 alterations and $50 cleaning). My matron of honor wore a simple green dress we found at Ross (she wanted something she could rewear). $30
I did all my own flowers...which I bought in abundance at Costco ($60). We printed our own announcements at home: $60 for the invitation kit and ink cartridges.
Food for the reception the following month was about $500 (we did buffet style foods and did ALL the preps ourselves); rental on the park space was another $40 from the city. We burned CD's from our computer for our music.
Gifts for all of our attendants: roughly $200. Donation to the base chapel for supplies (since they cannot accept gifts): $50.
Total: $1195 give or take about $100
Call us cheap if you want, but it was the wedding WE wanted, we paid for it all, and everyone had a blast at the reception. We had everything we wanted and everyone that wanted to be there was able to attend without cost considerations or restrictions.
(My husband bought my engagement ring at Zales for about $500...lucky man - I hate diamonds..... and his wedding band was another $150 for a simple gold band; I wear his father's wedding band which I got resized for about $30).

Im getting married in september, and all up out wedding is costing about 25,000. The biggest tip i can give you is to start planning early and start paying for things as soon as you can. Make it a gradual process, and not only will it be a lot easier to pay for, it will be a whole lot less stressful.
We've been angaged for just over 2 years and for the past year or so, we have just been trying to organise and pay for things as soon as we can. Bit by bit, we got there and now, 7 months before my wedding we have almost completely paid for everything.
Good luck, and have fun!

as said before, it is rude to ask, but since you did and since i was bored at work and decided to answer...we spent about $25,000. maybe a little more. it was waaaay more than what we wanted, but as weddings sometimes do, it got out of control. how did we save? well we were engaged for 2 years, so that helped a lot. we just bought things along the way. we were married almost a year ago. and im still paying off credit cards. lol!!

I'm getting married in October. About 100 people are being invited and my fiancee and I are getting married at a bed and breakfast. My parents are paying for it and I actually peeked at the cost and my mom has estimated to being around $30,000. You can make it as cheap as just spending 40 bucks to do it in court or the skies the limit. Totally up to you and your fiancee.

my wedding was about $5000.00. That's including church, invitations, hall, dress, 2 bouquets, hair, tux, dj, band, food, cake, pictures, video, decorations, plates, cups, plastic silverware, napkins, champagne, sodas, water, beer and few extra things. I planned for 300 guests. I used websites . .
www.thebusybride.com
www.weddingflowersandmore.com
www.foreverwedstore.com
There's all kinds of websites. Hopefully this helps.

200 dollars for the priest, and about 300 dollars to buy food to accommodate about 25 guests.
Wedding at the church, and a simple get together at my mother-in-laws house.
