I was trying to delete another file that was uneeded and I accidentally deleted my autorun file from my computer. Is there anyway I can retrieve that file?

Best thing is to do this.
Try the system restore:
Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.

what autorun file did u delete

is it the one that was on the CD

you cannot delete a file from the CD unless you scratch it out with a knife, or some other sharp object, thust rendering the whole CD unusable.

on the contrary

if you are talking about the file which was used in DOS and other earlier versions of windows

AUTOEXEC.BAT

then you need to look for a software which recovers deleted files

you can get some undelete/unerase software for trial use from
www.download.com

I agree Mike. How come we don't get e-mails like that? That way we even have a returned up for friends who delete techniques this is useful to ones psychological wellbeing. I hate seeing friends depressed.
