I beleive in hell because the Bible says it's real. Revelation 21:8 reads:
"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”"
If humans tell lies then we are liars and our rightful place is in the lake of fire because we sinned against a Holy God.
There is only one way to avoid hell. God commands us to do something. Mark 1:15 says "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. Matthew 3:8
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

i do - even the devil believes in God
the bible states that Heaven is Our Intended Destination where we will all recieve Judgement and give an account of our lives,
i was brought up a catholic (not mega practising) but then i had a series of really hard hitting scary dreams about hell - and not being entered into heaven etc etc etc ....too powerful to ignore and not normal day to day dreams - so i was baptised again - end of....
have a look at http://www.messengerintl.org/

I do, because I believe in God which means that I also believe in His word (i.e. the Bible) which talks about Heaven and Hell. Whether one believes in it or not everyone will be appointed to one of the places following judgment.

to believe in life ceasing when your physical body dies is agreeing in both:
1. You have no purpose in life.
2. There is no point (nor reward) in being good or bad.
Life, itself, shows you that you cannot avoid the morally right or wrong choices in life. Every choice is based on that view.
Also, every decision made in life has a consequence, so those decisions that we make dictate how our life will turn out. It's only right that we face the ultimate rewards or punishments for those decisions. If we don't then it was all for nothing. No lessons to learn, no lives to save, nothing.
To disbelieve a heaven or hell would beg the questions:
Why are you here?
--and--
Why do what is right? (or "what is good and evil?")

Jesus talked about the existence of a literal Hell and Heaven (in fact, he developed the two concepts, since the Hebrew writings (Old Testament) say very little about the afterlife). Since I am a Christian, I believe in what the Christ taught.

I believe in both. I have studied religion and faith, have accepted a religion that provides direction and motivation in my life. I belief in heaven and hell provides me with goals, objectives, plans, desires to improve myself, help improve the world and try and leave behind more than what I found.

I do , It's part of my upbringing. I don't blame my parents, or my
grandparents, Only God for his Massive F***up of a plan!
No one deserves an eternity in Hell, for the sin of being born!
Mental illness also plays a role, with both God and myself!
I never lost my sense of humor, but I think God did, if he ever had
one!

the Devil is responsible for the existence of hell and heaven.
Banish devil and you'd not need hell
without hell you can not define heaven
so stop believing in the existence of the devil and free yourself from the fear of hell
