Frequently, each time a open a word doc, the doc defaults to the initial display of a "Reading Layout" format. However, the "Reading Layout" layout is very difficult to read because a lot of the text and table lines go beyond margins making them not visible in what I can read.

Do you know how to turn this off in documents? I think Yahoo! Answers is more efficient than Microsoft Word Help itself!!!

I'm using Office on Windows (PC).

I would love to use OpenOffice.org. The problem is our MS Office is at work and I can't just download OO there.

Also, on OpenOffice (in my home PC), when I double-click ont he OpenOffice Writer App, for example, sometimes, nothing shows up -- the cursor will turn to HourGlass, then disappears and the application (i.e., the Writer app) is not opened.... This was the reason why I had to have BOTH MS Office 2003 and OpenOffice.org at home....

What I would do is forget Microsoft Office & download " OpenOffice 2.1"
I have it, and it will do things and open files that Office 2003 won't, or Windows Power Point Viewer won't. I am really satisfied with it & it's free
