There is a spiritual aspect to existence, and contrary to atheistic belief, there most certainly is a God. How individual people get their little minds around those aspects of existence are about a wide and varied as individuals, but one thing is certain.
There is power attached to the name of Christ, and whatever he was, it was certainly more than you or I. The fact that some people behave in a manner that is by any standard abnormal, is why the DSMIII lists a preoccupation with religiosity as a symptom of many mental illnesses. But for you to claim "all" Christians have mental disorders is simply a lie. One must accept words as an insult for them to be so, and the blogbaba decided not to allow yours to be insulting.
You make a valid point in that some "Christians" behave in a manner that makes those around them uncomfortable, and I honestly have no excuse for their behavior. Mental illness works as well as the next explanation for why people act like space cadets. If you would have said "some" instead of "all" you would have been more accurate by labeling the behavior deviant. "Schizophrenic" is a catch all term that lists an assortment of different symptoms and too broad a definition to apply to the behavior you are describing, although it's a safe bet some can be considered mentally ill.
Special Olympics are for mentally and physically disabled people, not insane people, so the answer to your question is no those Christians who act like nut cases, just happen to be nut cases who latched on to Christainity and shouldn't qualify for the Special Olympics.

Now this is just wrong. You do yourself and those who are non-christian a disservice with this childishness. How sad you must be. Just not cool. Either debate intelligently or leave.
