Yesterday I cooked a crock pot of 15 bean soup. I added a can of diced tomoatoes, onion, chili powder, and when the beans were done, I added cut up smoked sausage. We ended up getting invited to a friends house for dinner and so I just put the beans in the refrigerator to save for dinner today. Well, this morning we woke up and our refrig. had gone out and nothing was cool! Including the beans, matter of fact, they never completely cooled down. I plugged them back in this morning and turned on low. Do you think we should eat these or I should throw them out? I would hate to make my kids and husband sick!!

Throw them out, especially since meat is in the mix. Bacteria may have started growing already since the fridge broke before they started cooling.

I wouldn't take the risk, not for the beans but for the sausage!

I would toss them. They maintained a warm temp, which is the perfect enviroment for bacterial growth.
