My TV is 6 years old and of late, it starts Black and White before becoming full color after 15 minutes. Can this be cheaply repaired?

There are a couple of things to check before taking the advice of some of the more negative contributors.
First check the tuning carefully and make sure that the AFC is on in the menu settings, also the line hold or horizontal preset because a missetting here can cause the colour killer to operate. These are just ideas based on past experience over 45 yrs . Would love to be there and see for my self, however that is impossible. One more thing !!!!! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR PIC TUBE . Time to buy a tv. It is cheaper to buy a new one than it is to get it fixed. Circuit City is having a sale right now. Check them out.
Don't go to Best Buy. They are the worst on honoring their warranties.

Run it till it dies, 15 mins isn't that long and start saving you pennies for a new one.

needs picture tube. Buy new tv. It'll be cheaper
