Because they want to lose and are eager to fly the white flag of surrender. They think this will show the muslims that we "understand" their views and are "compasionate", unfortunately with a weaker military we will be taken over and all the libs will still be denying there is a problem even when they are all speaking arabic.

The real sickness is seen in a deluded president who misuses our military to pursue his own pet project, appointing himself "the decider" and ignoring the wisdom of the military and diplomatic professionals and thoughtful Americans.

When England's King George III went crazy they strapped him in a straitjacket and turned the administration of the country over to saner people. For the good of America, we urgently need a solution to the problem of an out-of-control administration. Congress, which is responsive to the American people, is our best hope.

A gambler who loses at the craps table, then instead of cutting his losses and going home, stays on and throws good money after bad, is a sick man. He will lose more and more and drive himself into bankruptcy. A sane gambler knows that there are times when you should say "enough" and walk away from the table.

The kind that know our boys won't be back home as long as we keep sending money to keep them over there.

I didn't know anyone actually stepped up to try to cut funding. I thought the dems would wuss out and leave things as they are and try to blame Bush for everything. Do they know how to use thier power, now that they have a little?

Maybe next war the US will decide whether we are really in or really out. Sending a third of the needed troops overseas and hoping to win a war is just a bad idea--people get killed, and nothing gets accomplished. Either send no one, or send enough troops to take care of the job. Don't send a small force and hope inexperienced native police will make up the difference!

Bush budget cuts veterans health care in 2009. Here's the URL for you to read all about it:
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/02/13/vets.budget.ap/index.html?source=BuckFush.com

The present admiistration is also guilty of under-reporting injuries...
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/02/07/national/main2441466.shtml?source=BuckFush.com

Has anyone heard of the embarrassing reportage at Walter Reed Medical Hospital with the falling polaster, leaks, mold on walls and ceiling, cracks in the ceilings and walls...? Wait until they start investigating the shabby conditions at the other Vet hospitals and the crap finally his the proverbial fan... as it well should! The vets served this nation and risked their lives... they deserve BETTER! Yet the Preseident and Vice President has yet to attend one solitary funeral of the 3,300+ Americans that have died in action! Shameful? DISGRACEFUL! No wonder they won't ask any of their 40+ eligible relatives to join the Armed Services and volunteer to go to either Afghanistan or Iraq!

The money that is being cut is NOT going to buy weapons or munitions... it's to prevent Dubya's and Cheney's cronies from continuing to over-charge and over-bill the government, and that money comes from taxpayers' hard earned money... the super rich and powerful have tax incentives and tax breaks... they're the ones making the money... WE are the ones footing the bill for the super rich and powerful to make fortunes every single day the war is going on!

Let me remove all doubt in anyone’s mind; as long as our troops are in harm’s way, Democrats will be there to support them, but… we will have oversight over that funding,”said Nancy Pelosi incoming Speaker of the House.

She spoke to reporters as she took a break from a briefing Democratic House members were getting from former Clinton administration official Richard Holbrooke and other foreign policy veterans.

“None of us want to fail; none of us want to see Iraq as a failure,” said incoming Majority Leader Steny Hoyer of Maryland.
