I have a gut feeling the U.S. will go in before old turnip head finishes his term. If Tony Blair is still in office then the UK will follow suit (albeit kicking and screaming).

Attacking Iran would be a diabolical mistake of foreign policy, much more serious than Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran spent ten years in the trenches with Iraq, therefore they know the territory inside out, they know how to dig their heels in and for once, the present Iranian government ould have the full support of it's people.

The fallout from a US attack on Tehran would mean the rest of the region would be dragged in due to heightened religious tensions and reaction the to US interference (again) in local politics.

First two to go would be Saudi Arabia and Israel. The Saudis would ignite a civil war in their own backyard because although it is an Islamic nation, a lot of people support, and are funded by the U.S.. Israel would be used as a military base by the US and it would not take long before the Israelis and Palestinains started kicking lumps out of each other, dragging the Americans, and eventually, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and Egypt in. Terrorist attacks in the UK would become as commonplace as during the height of the IRA days and America would also start seeing more attacks too.

George Bush and the people behind him have demonstrated in the past that they have little or no grip or interest in world politics. All they see are dollar signs. **** the American soldiers who are giving their lives. The lives of the Iraqi people seem to be even more expendable, why should the Iranians be any different?

Except for the UK, USA and CANADA ,NATO is a lost cause the other nations within the NATO ALLIANCE have turned into a bunch of losers. The UN is the same as the permanent members can`t agree on anything Russia, China and the US veto each other or abstain from Voting ,The French are a bunch are too cowardly to fight.Only UK and Canada will side with US and vice-versa.
they`ll more than likely just impose more sanctions on Iran

You're leaving out one very likely alternative - Israel. I think at this point, they have more political "will" in seeing Iran stopped than does the US/UK/NATO. I can't imagine that they would wait until the US/UK presence is gone from Iraq before doing so either as our force presence does seem to provide a very convenient deterrent to counterstrike.

NATO is useless. Remember the 2000 war against Serbia - even with with US doing 95% of the work they still almost lost because they could not agree on anything.

It will never be NATO. The UK may back the idea but won't do the deed. My guess is Israel will do it suitably backed by USA. It won't be an invasion, just a strategic bombing of their nuclear processing plants.

it had better not be UK we are paying enough tax to pay for the current war and if we were involved in a war with Iran we might as well give Brown our pay packets unopened and it would still sink this country so for Gods sake lets keep out of this one which i feel USA is going in and they can afford it/ we cannot

Israel, and I'm rootin for them.

I'm tired of having to look at ahmaweeniejob on the news. I'd rather see an aerial shot of what's left of tehran in rubble.

Israel will protect themselves. They have many nuclear weapons. They are waiting for Iran to reach the point of no return then they will destroy the capital.
