My friend is going to break up with his girlfriend ,and i want to ask her out so I want to know how long to wait before i ask her out

ah! with all these 2-3 week answers 'm starting to feel like a horrible friend... I gave it 2 days before i asked a girl that had been goin with my friend out lol. Just ok it w/ your friend so you don't lose him in the process of getting a gf, and maybe wait a couple days before u ok it with him so he cools down. but he broke up w/ her so i don't see the need for cool-down time.... then again all my friends are pretty light on that stuff.
EDIT: let me clarify that I go to a really small school, 70 people in the entire highschool, and everyone here seems to think it's alright to go out with there ex's.... well just about everyone, people from bigger schools seem to get pissed but watev

Lol. Welllll you do realize this might cause some problems with you and your friend right? Well, if he is ok with it OR you simply just don't care then this is what you do. Start like hanging out with her when he breaks up with her. Help her get through the breakup and like just be there for her and be nice and caring and make her laugh and see that there are other guys out there(like yoooooooooou) and once you can tell she has started to like you ask her out. If that's not spacific enough I would say wait atleast a week unless you're younger than 16 which is pretty much ask her whenever. Hope it works out for everyone.

First talk to your friend if its ok to ask out his ex. Wait for like a week or longer before you ask her out. Also talk to the girl about it because you have to consider thinking of her feelings too. Good Luck!

if you and dude are friends then there is never a long enough time to wait until you ask her out. Friends aren't supposed to go out with other friends ex's

I think you should 1st ask your friend if its ok for you to go out with her so he doesn't get mad at you and ruin a friendship!
If he says its coo then wait about 2-3 weeks and see if she has gotten over it and if she has then she is all yours!

That's very thoughtful of you! Too quickly and you get her on the rebound! I would let her know that you have definite interest but want to give her time to adjust to the breakup between her and her current boyfriend.

Wait about two weeks, to give her time to heal from her ex-bf and give your friend time to get over her.

it depends on how long will it take her to get over her breakup. if you do ask her out, be careful coz you might lose a friend in return.

Dont u think you are a bad friend to your friend? (that's what he will think) but you still have to do what your mind told you to do.
