In my opinion, most guys like girls with long hair. Reason being - it's feminine, and they like to play in it and just see it blowing in the wind and stuff.
Although, you should wear your hair however you like, what's easy for you to maintain, and whay you think you look best in!

Some guys prefer either or just like some women like tall men as opposed to short but they like a person for who they are they look at the physical first but after physical attraction personality makes you a keeper or NOT

I am a sucker for long dark hair.
Women cut their hair for the approval of other women. They grow their hair long for the approval of men.
