In kind with my last question, how could voting change anything in this country when the canidates we're asked to vote for seem to be more concerned for the power of the possition than the positive impact they could create. "Lesser of two evils" comes to mind. Our represetatives to office are groomed to "tap dance" by big buisness and powerful lobiest.Great men and women come out of doing great things for people, not a 4.0 GPA Politics. How can a voter be confident that any moral or honest disision will be made by those people with respect to what our country was founded on and for. Are we trapped to vote for corruption and forced to be host to the decay of a great nation?

I agree with ya, but you have to remember, if you don't vote, they're gonna take it away from us. You can't be certain about any sort of decision that those in power are going to make, because we have no chains to hold them to their words. Without term limits, runoff votes, and third party participation, we're hurt. However... There ways around this, and we gotta get people organized to achieve that.

Get involved in a local third party. Libertarians, Green's, even the SPUSA. Just get involved with 'em. Find out your beliefs, and your political ideology, and then bring your words and your wallet to bear. What those rich folks don't realize is that we're the ones making their coats and caviar and paying taxpayer dollars for their flights cross-country. Then, when we vote, they'll have a little surprise waiting for 'em... But never give up, even if there is corruption. When you've stopped fighting, your apathy's done a lot more to hurt the people than most politicians'll ever do.

1. No more "fill in the arrow" or straight party ballots. Every candidate is required to be entered in as a write-in candidate. If the voter isn't smart enough or socially aware enough to know who their candidate is for a specific position, or intelligent enough to know how to spell that person's name doesn't get the opportunity to put that candidate into office.

2. Follow Robin Williams advice and force political candidates to wear patches of those companies who they have received money from in campaign contributions.

3. Any interaction between politicians and lobbyists must be video taped, specifically labeled, categorized, filed meticulously and made available to the general public. Any attempt to defraud this policy should be viewed upon as a felony with a minimum of two years in a federal pound-me-in-the-*** prison.

4. All elected congressional members must keep a public and daily blog explaining the reasoning behind each and every decision they make pertaining to their official duties.

Absolutely,we should all stop voting and let the "system " fall apart. Come up with a better way. But that won't happen because voting is what makes us "free".

I agree, but a vote for any third party is another vote for the corruption, because your vote would be lost.
