I have recently brought home some new cat toys with bells on them. I have 2 cats, they have had these kinds of toys before. One of my cats plays with the new toys with no problems and enjoys them. The other has grown fearful of them and jingling the bell makes her run and hide.

What's causing it?

Sounds like some negative conditioning.
As in, associating the sound with something negative, maybe it nearly got hit by a bike with a bell on it? Or squashed behind a door when the doorbell rung?!?!

maybe the cat that doesnt like them has more sensitive hearing.... There could be some high frequency sounds. Im actually not sure of why it is doing this if you have had different bell toys in the past. Lucas l

Cats have a very fine hearing, your other cat might be afraid because maybe the bell is louder then the ones on previous toys.

in line with danger you have an digital in there it extremely is emitting a frequency that throughout basic terms your kitty pays attention. it extremely is accessible. in the experience that your television have been given a touch tousled, it must be giving off a very severe frequency and it hurts your cats ears, yet you may no longer p.c.. up on it. Or there ought to easily be a scent in there you do no longer word yet your cat does.
