I've eaten at Pats and Genos. Both give you a good steak. If you ever get up to Lancaster try a Rendezvous sandwich on West King street. Their grill is always on so no matter what time you get there you can have a great steak sandwich!

I lived in Lancaster for over 20 years.

C'mon!!
Pat's and Geno's????

No true Philly person would even consider them as their top 10 faves.
Pat's & Geno's are only popular because of the Food Network.
And just because they showed in some TV doesn't make them the best, or even great.

Ben's at South Street is the best when it comes to a place that is close to tourist attractions.

The best are actually in the surrounding area (suburbs) of Philly.

John's Pizza have the best...
At 6 bucks, it's over foot long, the cheese is perfectly melted, and not a mayo in sight!

Chink's isn't bad, but not the best.

If I had to choose from the above I pick Geno's...a wiz wit.

However over all I like the beef to be chopped into smaller pieces and cheesey.

None of them can come close to Jims Steaks on South Street, you have gotta be kidding me.....

However, if I would have to choose one from that list, I would have to say Genos, because I love cheese whiz...
