Below are the links from the IRS Website for the 1040EZ and the instructions, you can print out the form to complete it.

If all your income is shown on a W-2 (or several of them) then it's pretty easy.

Download form 1040-EZ and its instructions at irs.gov - it's not hard to fill out. If you had more than one W-2, add the numbers together from the same box in all of them, and enter it on the form where the form says to.

You can efile it (see irs.gov for free efile), or just mail in the form. The address to mail it to is in the instructions.

Depending on where you live, you might have to file a state return also.

A booklet should have been sent to you (atleast I always get one here in Ohio) It will go through all the steps you need to do to finish it up. Your W2 forms should have been sent to you last month from your job. Your bank will send you your form from your savings.

Dont worry. They are easy to file. Also, if you're under 18, check with your city to see if you are exempt from city taxes. That was the case for me years ago.

It sounds like your taxes are pretty simple this year so I would suggest you go to www.irs.gov. There is a link for Free File. Click on that and it will let you pick a program to help you file your taxes for FREE if your adjusted gross income is below $52,000.00.

The two programs that I personally like are turbotax and taxcut by H&R Block. Both are easy to use and give you step by step instructions.

Go to the public library nearest you...they are there and they are free. You will most likely just use the EZ form, and it is easy.

Welcome to the tax-paying world!

Do you work? Because you don't need to file a return if you don't work.

If you do, then your work should give you a T4. Take that and you can either pay to have someone fill out the forms for you, or you can do it yourself on-line. I use H&R Block. This year was my second time doing them myself and it's really easy. H&R walks you through it step-by-step and it only cost approx. $20.

You can use your last check stub from you job or if you already received you W-2 from your job you can use that too. You can go to your local tax office or tax services such as HR block or Jackson Hewit. They'll help you out. Call your local tax office and they will answer any questions that you may have.
