1cup bourbon whiskey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 pinch dry mustard
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, combine bourbon, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Use to baste meat, especially chicken
For steak
2 (6 ounce) boneless New York strip steaks
3 cups bourbon whiskey
1 cup dark brown sugar
DIRECTIONS
Gently tenderize steaks with a meat mallet. With a sharp knife, lightly score the meat on one side diagonally. Place steaks in a casserole dish, scored side up, and pour bourbon over them. Rub the brown sugar evenly over each steak. Marinate in refrigerator for 1 to 3 hours.
Preheat grill to high heat, and lightly oil grate.
Place the steaks on the hot grill, with the sugar side down. Let cook until sugar has caramelized, 3 to 5 minutes, then flip steaks, and finish cooking to desired doneness.

It's the easiest one I could think of... I hope this helps!
- Equal parts of bourbon and brown sugar (light works better than dark). (approx 3/4 cup each)
- 2 sprigs of thyme, finely chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 tblsps. black pepper
- 1/3 tsp. cayenne pepper -- OPTIONAL
Good luck!
