Yes, this would be one of those "casting pearls before swine" sort of questions....

He was the one who wanted it all. All the fame the glory of it . Man I envy him that must have been fun. I mean come on why stop people from crucifying you?

The plan was made, Jesus went with the plan. Killing the people who hung him on the cross was not in the plan.
He continued in the plan as designated.

Because He was BORN to die. To pay for your sin and mine. If He sinned, by shooting the people who crucified Him, He would be able to BE that sacrifice.

He went to the cross of his own accord. He could have gotten down from the cross at any time. Dying was part of His plan.

He could have -- but then there would be no hope for any of us. It was his sacrifice that makes it possible for us to know God and be with him in heaven.

That was not what God the Father intended Him to do. His mission was to take all our sins upon himself to the cross, die , and be resurrected, to free us from sin and death.
