Hmmm.... apparently god made the rule not to kill.. but then he killed. But he's still perfect? I like your question, but some folk can't fathom it.

All of the rules in the Bible are what God has always and will always do. It quotes in the Bible numerous times that God himself wants us to be more like him every minute of the day. Knowing this, I would say that God put those rules within the Bible to state that he is all good, and wants us to go to Heaven with him. God also cannot do wrong, which is also following every rule within the Bible. Wait 'til your in Heaven, I can guarantee God will answer your questions than with the best possible answer. Well, that is one of the best questions I have ever heard on Yahoo Answers. I thank you for posting a witty question, and not some foolish one. If you have anymore questions feel free to E-mail me.

It is similar to a parent/child relationship. While a parent sets the rules (bedtime, curfew, "homework first", etc), the parent is not bound by those rules. They should be old enough and mature enough to be responsible for their own actions. That is why they are able to set the rules for their children. So God sets the rules for his children.

Within the rules that God sets for his children you will find the values and morals of God reflected. As God is true to Himself, he will follow the principles reflected in those rules. (A patent may not have to go to bed at 8:00 like his children - but he does goes to bed at a reasonable and responsible time. While the parent is not bound by the 8:00 rule, he is bound by the reasonable bedtime principle).

God answers only to himself. When you are the one who created it all, then you have the right.

God, by His nature follows all the rules, laws and morality provided in the Bible. He came to Earth to show us too, in the person of Jesus Christ.

That's one of those God things. He is and does much more than we can even grasp.

Being God, He is the finial Surpreme Authority, therefore He is the Maker of the rules. Since He is perfect He makes no transgression of the rules.

From me personally, That's a stupid question.

1> God won't need to be held accountable to us. We are not over him. He created us. That's like you being held accountable to your car running perfectly forever. Since your car won't run forever, you are dooming yourself. Your car isn't over you.

2>God gave the laws to man. God is perfect. It is no problem for him to abide by them. He's never broke a word he gave to man. Man, on the other hand, have broken the laws 10 times over. We will be held accountable to him.

Let's break your question down to it's essence, JD. What you really seem to be asking is: "Is God limited by the constraints of mortality with which mankind finds itself limited?"

The answer, obvious as it is, is "no".

God can do anything He pleases.
He holds you accountable. You little man, don't hold Him accountable.
You really have a high opinion of yourself don't you?
