They've been in the basement for quite a while. They're all interior wall paints-flat/semi-gloss/gloss. None are oil based (if it matters).

You should call your sanitation company or town hall. They will direct your concern. Most places have Environmental Protection guidelines. Thanks for being responsible.

most small towns have hazzardous materials cleanup days at some central location like a county fairgrounds or a large parkin lot you pay a small fee to put them in piles they direct to and they dispose of the item and that is the best way i can think of to dispose of them since you can't put em out to the curb with the rest of the garbage and your city will not take them I'm willing to bet or you would have done that allready and fyi paint is considered a HAZMAT item in all forms no matter of age....

If you have an outdoor unattatched garage or storage shed store them out there for now untill the next HAZMAT cleanup day is announced in your town in the local newspaper if you are worried about your family gettin sick from the pain as it's stored in your basement

The paint store sells little packets of a substance that "dries" up the liquid from the paint. Once you're sure the paint is thoroughly dry, you should be able to dispose of it with your normal disposal routine. (This is for latex paint, only, which is what you have.)

Most communities now have a collection site for hazardous materials. Take to one of these. It can be determined there if it is or is not hazardous. Check your local newspaper for dates and times as these are usually not every day happenings.

Remove the lid and let the paint dry completely and then toss it in the trash can for normal pick up or like in my area they'll have monthly drop offs at town sites. good luck.
