Mahatma Gandhi said that - "be the change you wish to see in the world."
As for can you - you may not see the change occur in your lifetime (depending on what you are changing) but you can start it in the right direction. You can act in ways to foster the change you wish to see.

You must be the change you wish to see... if you cannot be that which you wish the world to be then others see that as hypocritical and all benefits are lost. Also if you are not part of the solution... you're part of the problem. Every journey starts with one step... will it be yours?
