I just need anything, if there is such thing, that can help prevent the usual colds, infections, etc. Thanks

be meticulous in taking your own things to the daycare and watch them, hand washing is essential...if they are not washing your child's hands all throughout the day and drop in unexpectedly...see if the children are clean at times other than pick ups and drop offs...mid morning right before lunch, after nap, etc...see if they are clean...talk to your doctor about a multivitamin and pray health over your child everyday. are the toys washed weekly and spot washed daily, does your child's class have a "dirty" toy bucket for "mouthed" toys? These should be picked up as soon as a child drops it so another doesn't pick it up and put it in their mouth. Also, make sure that the center enforces their health policy. States license childcare centers and have strict health policies, if they will let your child attend ill, they will let others, look at all of the children, do they look well, if not ask the teacher, it at least puts them on the spot, if not a good response see the director.

Even if there was such a product you cant keep the kid on it forever. Try to keep the childs immune system high with plenty of vitamin C. You may find your child having more simple illnesses over the next year but because of day care and all he will develope some immunities with those illnesses that he will need as he goes into schools with even more germs around.

One thing you can do to help with the germ problem is to teach your child how to wash his hands and have him do it often.

Well, I give my children the Emergen-C , however, they are nine years old... At his age, there is nothing like that, that you can give him........ Just give him a multi-vitamin (Flintsones are the best I've encountered) Your son is going to be introduced to a lot of germs that he hasn't before, and probably be sick a little more than usual at first..... When I put my boys in daycare....they were sick a lot at first....even got pink eye and head lice...... Good luck

I think there is!! Well I would just just let your son be and let him build up his immune system... If he is never exposed to different elements he will never gain a tolerance for anything! He will be fine!
