What video editing program lets you use stills as well as video and is free?

I know there are a few on the market (like Adobe Premiere) but those are VERY expensive, and I only have Windows Movie Maker and a Pinnacle bundled version I got with a Gateway hard-drive camera (which I don't use). Anyone got a suggestion for one that is free and allows use of stills (for making stop-motion movies)?

If you want Adobe Premiere, simply download it from www.dowload.com i'm sure they will have it =] thats wherre i got my Adobe Photoshop =]
