Take a deep breath. Inhale... Exhale...
You need to take it easy. Start by figuring out exactly how many calories you eat in a day. This can be a daunting task, but with information in hand, you will be empowered to DO something about it. Once you know how much you consume, lower this amount by 500 calories per day... your food journal will stear you towards the foods you can eliminate. If you can cut out 3500 calories per week, you will lose a pound. Calorie counting can be tedious, but it is the only way to figure out if you are over or under eating. You can count them on a piece of paper or online... either way works (I count online, link below).
Eating once a day is terrible for your metabolism... your body is going through periods of starvation and feasting, and what you want is for a steady stream of food. Your blood sugar levels must be going crazy with one meal a day! Even switching what you eat spaced out into 3 meals would be a step in the right direction. Just make sure that you are eating at least 1200 calories a day... any less than that REALLY needs to be under a doctor's supervision.
You can exercise... just not at high intensities. Try going for a long walk after dinner or work. 15 minutes of intensional exercise per day will definately make a difference. When the pounds start to come off, then the pressure on your knees will be reduced, and you may find it easier to move later. Gentle bike riding might be an idea too.
Good luck!

Do the master cleanse. You will not only lose weight (a lot) but it will clean your colon. If your colon is in bad shape, which I think it might be since you weigh 250... then probably all your organs have problems too. You need to do it for at LEAST 7 days and you need to know how to get off the diet in the correct way because you can get ulcers. 42 days of doing this fast cures cancer, imagine what other things it can cure. It works perfect for you because they don't recommend exercise, you have to take it easy. If you eat once a day and you're gaining weight, I think it's a problem in your lymphatic system. The cleanse shall do it. I'll give you the website.... and ONLY lemons, not limes. Lemons are alkaline but limes are acidic, NOT GOOD. The maple syrup must be grade b, organic and it can only come from Vermont or Canada. If you want to do it for 15 days, buy a gallon. That should be enough. You can do it. If your health is really as bad as you put it, go through the cleanse. A few days of suffering will do you good and will add many more years to your life. By the way you write, it sounds like you're really young. There's no reason to die young, especially when it's curable. Take care!
P.S. - If you have diabetes, you can't do this cleanse.

First off, quit using the expression "I will die" Ever hear of a self fulfilling prophecy? Relax, chill, and educate yourself as to why you are packing on the pounds if you only eat one meal a day. First of all, eating one meal a day is a sure fire way to NOT lose weight. Your body feels deprived and hangs on to fat for fear it will not get more food for many hours. Small, freqent, healthy meals throughout the day will speed up your metabolism and cause you to lose weight quickly. You MUST consume QUALITY water, not toxic tap water or "purified or enhanced" bottled water. Spring water or steam distilled is best. Eliminate artificial colors, flavors, preservatives and additives from your diet. Do not eat commercial packaged foods. Eat a simple diet of lots of fruits and vegetables (organic if possible, to avoid pesticides) Eat seafood or fish, simply prepared with little or no sauce-you can make yummy poached fish by poaching it in vegetable stock. Don't adopt an attitude of "I cant have this, cant have that, etc" Think of all the wonderful things you CAN have. Lucious fruits, vitamin packed veggies, whole grains, etc. Check out the ethnic cuisine section on here and learn about new foods. Cooking your own food is fun and easy, IF you take the right attitude about it. As in all things, I think that applies. Good luck. I can tell by the way you asked your question that you are quite negative (dont mean to sound like I am bashing you at all) I was very negative at first to (I CANT exercise because of lupus, I CANT swim because no pool, yada yada) When I reframed the way I thought to a more POSITIVE way of thinking, it all changed. Now, I CAN walk a little every day. I CAN lift some light weights while I sit at the computer. I CAN do some light stretching until my body becomes more flexible. I CAN do some mild exercise for 5 minutes a day. etc. Reframe your thoughts and you CAN lose weight rapidly. Good luck

Have you ever tired weight watchers, Bob Greene's best life,or jenny craig,or anything or that nature. Also you should consult a dietician about what diet plan can work for you the best. Alot of those plans do not require exercise at the begining of the plans. I lost about 55 lbs on WW, myself and didnt start exercising till halfway through at first I just would walk a mile a day. You can start with walking around the block if nothing else even if its at a slow pace its still moving.

You are gaining weight by only eating one meal a day because your body stores that one meal as fat because it thinks your starving yourself. You need to eat 6 SMALL meals a day. NOW, I don't mean full sized meal.. I mean, a half a sandwich and an apple. Or a yogurt and a small salad. Your body needs steady nutrition throughout the day. Somehow you DO have to incorporate some sort of exercise. You DON'T have to go jogging.. But talk to your doc about what you can do safely! Also you need to be sure you are drinking enough plain water.. Good luck hon!

First of all you need to eat about 2500 calories a day and they need to be spaced out over the entire day. Eat six small meals a day. This will keep your metabolism up and promote weight lose. You should try to :
Burn more calories than you eat.
Cut your fat intake.
Eat three cups of fat free low cal yogurt a day (make sure it has live cultures in it) and pineapples. This helps you break down your food and promotes fat loss.
Do 45-60 min. of aerobic exercise a day (preferably before you eat in the morning). This will attack the fat. You can do walking, cycling, yoga, palates, low impact aerobics, Tai Chi, etc.
Do 30 min of weight training three times a week. This will build lean muscle which will in turn burn fat. You will loose more weight than you will gain at first.
Keep moving all the time. Tap you feet while at the computer, tap you hands on your legs while walking. Keep moving and keep burning calories.
I lost 40 lbs in two months and have kept it off for eight more months doing this. I also took my body fat % from 30% to 14% and my waist from 36 inches to 32 inches.

# 1 eating once a day is not good for you. East reagular well balanced meals and learn to push the plate away. 3 to 4 ounces a meat, broiled, baked but not fried, at least 5 servings of veggies and fruit daily. Drink lots of water and try taking short walks since you have a problem with the knew.
If nothing else works, have the Bariatiac surgery or Lap band done.

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad fats, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event. Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. Once a day. You're malnourished.
What do you eat? Try eating smaller portions of food several times a day to get your metabolism going. Also try to do some walking around a block where you live. Get to where you can do 3 miles a day. It's helped me and I'm not overweight.
