The guy still has the potential to win the Tour De France. Everyone in the sport is guilty of doping, so why is he being singled out? Too bad, because he's one of the most naturally talented cyclists in the history of the sport.

Ullrich has announced his retirement he won't be riding this year.

As far as performance enhancing substances go. Drugs taken everyday by ordinary people for common ailments are on the banned list. A considerably large percentage of the population would fail the drug testing that these people go through.

Ullrich is liked by many around the world. It will be sad not ot see him there. Even sadder that his career has been tainted without failing any testing.

Everyone in the sport of cycling is not guilty of doping. If you notice it's the riders that have the potential to win that are being singled out, like Ulrich, Landis and Ivan Basso and so on.
It seem s funny to me that the French offered to drop charges against Landis if he gave up the right to ride in this years Tour.
I think this thing comes down to the French setting up the Tour so they can win. I agree it's too bad because the French are destroying there own sport.
