I am refering to the yellow stationary cameras, that falsh you from behind

Yes the ones on police cars do and apparently, if ur stopped by one, u should request to see evidence that they have been callibrated that day, otherwise they can't prosecute you. I don't think the same applies to road cameras though.

That's a tricky one! I don't think they are calibrated very often, but they will have some form of internal checking system that relies on an internal independent timer or whatever. If you try to challenge this in court they will no doubt find an expensive expert to testify that the box was/is working ok and you will be hit with costs. There are 2 things recorded, the radar speed measurement AND the distance travelled from the road markings. That's why they flash twice.

It is for the mobile ones- The static ones I don't know, but guess they always measure from a fixed position so are in a sense probably well able to hold callibration parameters for some time

good question - I heard if you ask for the calibration certificate, make model and serial number of the camera you can get off.
This is because they have not calibrated it or it costs too much to challenge and answer your letter.

i don t know if they are calibrated every day but i should say they are checked quite regular
