Because they have Vitamin K. Vitamin K can increse blood thinning. Coumadin is used for many things, and vitamin K found in cranberries and many green veggies don't work well with this medicine. Also, remember to watch the amount of tea you drink! Certain amounts of egcg found in tea can negatively effect coumadin as well as certain herbs in spices and tea as well.
