Any food that is not processed does not have trans fat. Trans fat is an artificial creation not found in nature. So processed foods like chips, crackers, fries and cookies will often have trans fat.
Fresh meat, fresh dairy, fruits and vegetables, and natural oils such as olive and canola do not have trans fat. Some of these things do have saturated fats, but they are not trans fats.

Fresh vegetables and fruit have no trans fats. If you buy frozen or canned foods, read the labels. Any product that contains hydrogenated oils is a trans fat.

You will have to look at labels. But food cooked in good oils such as olive, safflower, or sunflower are less likely to contain trans fat. McDonalds fast food is now trans fat Free.

All the vegetables, fruit, meet and fish do not contain trans fats. What you should worry ybout is margarine or fat derived from vegetables. In order to make margarine, vegetable oils have to become solid. They boil vegetable oils to the point they become solid, and that's when transformation from liquid to solid state happens. So, to conclude, I suggest that you avoid margarine or anything made with it. You should also try to stay away from fried foods! And finally, always read the labels!!!
Hope this helps!
