people wanna know what she's smiling at. Maybe DaVinci was naked when he painted her and she was snickering at him because it was cold in the room. Also her eyes follow you if you move around while looking at the painting.

From what I've heard, it has to do with the shadows. That is to say, the shadows around her mouth are designed in such a way that when you're looking right at the mouth she doesn't appear to be smiling that much but if you look away then the shadows blend with the mouth and make it look like she's smiling a lot more than she actually is. Interesting technique, but don't worry, there's no secret codes or alien messages behind it.
