I agree with you, however, Israel has to contend with world opinion (which is usually against them) and they cannot declare all-out war on Hezbollah. The only way to wipe out these terrorists is to declare war and kill them all because if not, then the terrorists will eventually depopulate Israel because there are so many Muslims ready to die for the cause. As far as the Israeli soldiers, who knows if they are still alive? Those bastards do not play by the rules and this should be taken up with the UN, but then again, what good would it do? The UN is an inept organization that is incapable of doing anything right. Arms and munitions are coming into Lebanon from Syria and the UN forces are doing absolutely nothing to stop it.

Perhaps it has something to do with a bigger global picture and not wanting to start a world war over a small and relatively unimportant (in the scheme of things) place like Palestine.
Israel didn't continue it's offensive against Hezbollah because Syria was threatening to get involved and this would have certainly pulled other Arab and Islamic nations into the fray which would have jeopardized the US plans in Iraq.

I agree 100%.The problem though as others said.Is that people try to make them out to be bullies. This is not the case.Israel defends itself and I think they should have crushed Hezbollah.I can't figure out why the US did not destroy Hezbollah in the 80's for the barracks bombing. That was direct assault against America and we just tucked tail and ran.Things like that are why terrorists feel they can attack us.There are those who say Israel is at fault.Bullsh**.Israel is under costant assault on 3 sides with the sea on the other.

First of all Mikey don´t even touch the Lebanon issue because I will type until keyboards are obsolete. You don´t know. Anyway, yes, they can use more force against the Palestinians. But that would make them even more ´viewed as state sponsored terrorism´ and I don´t think the current leadership can handle being hated even more in the Middle East. And by the by, Israel used EXCESSIVE force mostly on the Lebanese civilians that were miraculously forced to stay in Lebanon, because on day 1 they bombed the Beirut International Airport. That is an act of war or terror too.
And to bayouborn, yes, maybe America should´ve gone all out against the terrorists in ´82 but they were not Hezbollah. Hezbollah was created later. And of course, not one person would´ve stood by back then and let a dem start a war that was based on a peace-keeping mission. From a person who twice was forced to find ways of leaving Lebanon, (while being American and a Christian) there is plenty of terror coming from the zionistic side too. I hate when idiots bring up Lebanon as if they have the sense that God gave wild geese. Geezus H. Christ.

Israel is worried that if they actually defeat their enemies, the world, the Europeans would get angry.
This is what Israel is willing to put up with: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1171894534328&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

Using all out force on Palestine would be ridiculous. Israel doesn't have the man power to attack Palestine. Plus, if Israel was to use all out force, thousands of people from both sides would die. And that would be an absolute waste of time.

Maybe Israel should try staying on their side of their wall for a change.
