Budget, Thrifty, and Dollar rental are the cheapest. You still need to have a credit card or a large cash down payment no matter what company you go through.

Hertz has reasonable prices and if you are a member of AAA you get a discount.

Go to maps.google.com and type CAR RENTAL and select your ZIP Code.. this will give you all the car rental companies nearby.
