Im asking him out today. And I really like him. He likes me too and told my friend if I asked him out he would say yes. Im still really afraid of the answer. How should I play it? And how should I play it if he says yes?

You already know he is going to say yes so do not be nervous. First, figure out where you would like to go with him. Then, when the opportunity arises, say it matter of factly... "we should go to...
Try not to make it like you are asking him out on a date per se, just let him you would like to hang out with him.
Again, do not be nervous... there is no reason for it.
