Good question. The Bible says that there are a limited number of anointed Christians with the prospect of going to heaven. They have a specific role, which you pointed out...being co-rulers with Jesus. Of course, we know that before Jesus was resurrected to heaven, no one had gone to heaven, but he made a covenant with the anointed Christians of his day and with the ones who would follow, down to this day for a kingdom. This has come to be known as Spiritual Israel, or the Israel of God.
This is what the Bible says:
Revelation 5: 9 & 10: "9 And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”
Luke 12:32; "“Have no fear, little flock, because YOUR Father has approved of giving YOU the kingdom."
Revelation 14:1-3:And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound out of heaven as the sound of many waters and as the sound of loud thunder; and the sound that I heard was as of singers who accompany themselves on the harp playing on their harps. 3 And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth."
Revelation 20:6; "Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years."
1 Corinthians 6:2a: "2 Or do YOU not know that the holy ones will judge the world"
Are the 144,000 only natural Jews?
Rev. 7:4-8: “I heard the number of those who were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel: . . . Judah . . . Reuben . . . Gad . . . Asher . . . Naphtali . . . Manasseh . . . Simeon . . . Levi . . . Issachar . . . Zebulun . . . Joseph . . . Benjamin.” (These cannot be the tribes of natural Israel because there never was a tribe of Joseph, the tribes of Ephraim and Dan are not included in the list here, and the Levites were set aside for service in connection with the temple but were not reckoned as one of the 12 tribes. See Numbers 1:4-16.)
Rom. 2:28, 29: “He is not a Jew who is one on the outside, nor is circumcision that which is on the outside upon the flesh. But he is a Jew who is one on the inside, and his circumcision is that of the heart by spirit, and not by a written code.”
Gal. 3:26-29: “You are all, in fact, sons of God through your faith in Christ Jesus. . . . There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one person in union with Christ Jesus. Moreover, if you belong to Christ, you are really Abraham’s seed, heirs with reference to a promise.”
Is the number 144,000 merely symbolic?
The answer is indicated by the fact that, after mention of the definite number 144,000, Revelation 7:9 refers to “a great crowd, which no man was able to number.” If the number 144,000 were not literal it would lack meaning as a contrast to the “great crowd.” Viewing the number as literal agrees with Jesus’ statement at Matthew 22:14 regarding the Kingdom of the heavens: “There are many invited, but few chosen.”

The Heavenly Kingdom is a central authority wherein Jesus is the King and ruler that Jehovah has put in place and as for the 144000 they'll rule as kings and priest with Jesus. all of us know in view that 1914 Jesus has taken his throne and could quickly have finished rulership while the great day of Jehovah comes Armageddon that's unquestionably a chuffed time that i seem forward to. sure human beings could desire to ask themselves if there's a heavenly kingdom who're the area they're ruling over and could rule over basically like all government.

Those who have faithfully served Him. For an example look at the parable of the 10 minas...(not the one about the 10 talents.) That is a reward....co-ruling and how much you rule over is dependent on how faithful you are with what God has given you now.

I don't know about co-rulers, but in the Bible, it states that those who are humbled will be exalted, those who serve, lead.
So, here in our success driven society, we have it all backward. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples to show an example of serving and humility.
So, I think that the most humble person who is truly humble will the ones who are ruling with Jesus.

Your question is invalid. We, whom are believers, will be with God. Jesus, of course, will be there. It won't be an issue of who's ruling, or co-ruler, or Speaker of the Heavenly house. that won't be a factor. That's the beauty of heaven. the petty issues that confuse and restrict us down here won't be a factor in heaven.
Still, can't fathom it, huh? Neither can I, but I can't wait to see it.

No such thing as co-rulers, but one will sit on the right and one on the left. Jesus says that he who dies to himself and is a servant to all shall be the one to sit at his left or right. We won't know until then. But they really don't co-rule heaven.
