Not much, the tonsils are not needed and it is a minor surgery... you get to eat popsicles and sherbert for a week and then you are back to work/school... I was seven when I got mine out...

The doctors will give you an anesthetic that will put you into a deep sleep, remove the tonsils while you were asleep. When you wake up your throat will be very sore and they will give you things like ice cream, ginger-ale and jello for you to eat. You will have a sore throat for a few days and never again will you have tonsillitis. Good luck

you will have a little swelling and the throat will be sore for s few days. You will eat soft foods that will go down the throat easily and coolly. Your voic will be out of awhack a little so speak as little as possible and give yourself and your throat the rest it needs. You should be alright in a few days. I had ny tonsils out wwhen thet\y also took out my adenoids which today is not recommended because they are part of the lymphatic system andhelps out the immune system. Good Luck!

The inside of your throat will swell up and you won't be able to talk or eat for a few days.

When you open your mouth your throat will be white. it's crazy.

After i got mine taken out i started snorting when i laugh really hard. lol *snort.
