YES it is contagious. keep a spray bottle of bleach water in the shower. make sure he sprays the shower floor after he gets out. don't let him walk around barefoot in the house. have him soak his feet in warm water at night with about a half a cup of bleach in it. they have powders and creams at the pharmacy for athletes foot. make sure he uses them.

Atheletes foot or tinea, is most definately contagious, it is a fungal infection. Get your spouse to use an anti fungal cream available from the pharmacy and dont share towels etc until it is cleared up. As it thrives in moist environments, disinfect the shower after he uses it and wear thongs (I think they are called flip flops in the US) when you shower.

it isn't contagious and just use foot cream to get rid of it and make sure your feet are clean
