Many are trying to say that such a find, where JESUS was married and with child, and the fact that there might be bones,as is attested to, willcompletely falsify CHRISTianity.

Personally, I think the only religious group that would significantly be harmed by such a finding is Catholicism.
The ones who expect their priest to remain celebate.

No where in The Bible has it ever been preached that one must remain without wife and without sex. There is a portion that speaks of it being more difficult for a married man to be the best follower of CHRIST, but never a full iscouragement of the sanctity of marriage.

Roman Catholic 'church' has been one of the most misleading of the ensemble of CHRISTian religions in the manner in which its rituals and thier actions have been in complete hypocrisy of The Bible they preach.
There efforts far from the benefit of the world, will little to no outreach, their 'rules' such as masturbation being a sin, when its merely the pope's own directive

Lets not forget that the shere numbers of catholics, in comparison to many social problems in just the U.S. and a complete failure of inaction compared to the potential good such a large group of people could do for humanity that believes in The Bible that teaches Faith without works is uselesss, does in fact too little for the oppressed and the homeless, which again, by their own Bible is an act of worship

In the manner that priest are asked to be called 'Father', as if they are The Almighty HIMSELF, and most of their questionable beliefs, prompts me to think of the portion in The Bible that warns of worshipping false gods, and another portion where leaders will be held responnsible for misleading their groups, I can only hope that such a find as a tomb of the family of CHRIST will show a man deserves a wife, and a family.

Then perhaps all these child molestation cases would be eliminated.
Hmmm..and taken the majority of events are from Catholic priests, need I say more to support this arguement?

this from a child who was a devout Catholic, who was an alter boy, and who considered becoming a priest at one time.

And before the peanut galleries comment, luckily no i was not victimized in any way by anyone that would have deterred my beliefs.
I merely read The Bible for myself, and saw its not as catholics seem to put it

None.

Scholars criticize new Jesus documentary: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2007-02-26-jesus-documentary_x.htm?csp=34

No serious archaeologist, theologian, or everyday Christian will take this 'new' discovery (that is over 10 years old) seriously.

Basic Christian doctrine teaches that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead and later rose to heaven. No bones would be left behind.

People have been trying to undermine Christianity since its beginning with theories like someone other than Jesus died on the cross. None of these attacks have been ever been even partially successful.

With love in Christ.

Nothing that has appeared in the world news over the past day changes the gospel message. Nothing changes the fact that Jesus died for our sins.

True there is nothing in the bible that says priests must remian celebate. This is a concotion of the Roman Catholic Church. In the early days of the RC chuch even there priests and popes were married.

And no masturbation is not a sin. Some christian try to use an obscure verse in the bible to support this. But the verse in question refers to a man who was instructed by God to impregnate his wife and withdrew while have intercourse, he was not masturbating. The sin was not masturbation but refusing God's command.

Unfortunately there are lot of christians out there who like to twist and corrupt the word of God to suit their own agenda.

Filmmaker James Cameron is claiming he and some archeologists found the tomb of Jesus’s family. All the casket-like things called ossuaries are empty. I wonder what the archeologists were thinking when they found an ossuary with Jesus’s name on it. I can imagine the moment they removed the lid and looked in. If it were me, I’d wonder if I was going to see one of the following:

1. Nothing
2. Decomposed stuff
3. Jesus sitting up and saying, “What in Dad’s name took you so long?”

If you put an ordinary guy in an ossuary for 2,000 years, he’d clearly be dead. But if I were opening that ossuary I’d be wondering if maybe someone put Jesus in there after he died but before he arose. And maybe it’s hard to get out once you get in. I’d be worried that Jesus arose inside the stone box, and he’d be totally pissed that no one let him out until now.

I realize that this would not be the most rational worry in the world. But I like to base my worries on an expected value calculation. So for example, a 90% chance of getting a sliver would worry me about the same as a .000001% chance of a nuclear bomb going off in the backyard. In this ossuary example, I’d be looking at maybe a 2% chance of waking up an angry Jesus. I say that’s worth a worry.

If Jesus was in there, and sat up when I took the lid off, I’d first try to judge how angry he looked. If he had that money-changers-in-the-temple look, I’d go with a joke, like “Ha ha! Turn the other cheek!” Or maybe I’d try to explain to him that the extra suffering was extra good for humanity, and after all, that’s his job. Then I’d say, “Hey, I don’t like my job either, but you don’t see me complaining all the time.”

I know that some of you will say that if Jesus could move that big rock that was allegedly in front of his tomb in the traditional telling of his life, he’d have no trouble removing an ossuary lid. But he wasn’t supposed to be in an ossuary in the first place, so obviously if this ossuary is genuine, some of the details of the story were wrong. And if God let Jesus be crucified, it’s not a huge stretch of the imagination to think he’d let him stay in a stone box for 2,000 years. It makes sense to save your coolest miracle for when it’s needed most. And I think you’ll agree that this would be a good time for a messiah. And if you were God, you’d want James Cameron attached to this production. So it makes sense to me.

That’s why I’d be a crappy archeologist. I’d be afraid to open anything.

i'm an atheist, yet I agree that it won't rely no rely if or no longer he grow to be married and had babies. Marriage and fatherhood are no longer sins. If He grow to be who Christians think of He grow to be, then it won't substitute how they experience one way or the different if it grow to be shown previous a doubt the next day that He grow to be married. the difficulty lies interior the undeniable fact that they say his physique is in there. in accordance to the Bible, he grow to be resurrected, after which ascended into Heaven. If His physique grow to be shown to be here in the international, that should shake the very foundations of the church. (in spite of the undeniable fact that...there additionally are theories that propose that he grow to be resurrected, after which SPIRITUALLY ascended into Heaven, no longer bodily. if so, it won't make a distinction if His physique grow to be got here upon in the international.) i individually doubt that the bodies are whom they're reported that they may well be. What are the probabilities that they got here upon those particular bodies, out of hundreds of thousands of people who died in that section over the final 2000 years? The names have been additionally quite undemanding throughout that factor, in that section. it extremely is going to be an exciting coach to observe, the two way.
