my room has cherry-red walls with a light turquoise ceiling.. the theme is bollywood - purple and gold sheets, turquoise and fuschia accents, colorful diwan pillows..
but, its time for a change.. i want to keep my walls and ceiling the same color but i just want a new theme or a new color (preferably a light one) to tie in with these two colors so i can have a "new" room.
any ideas? thanks!

Go look for a new comforter set for your bed (take color samples and the wall and ceiling.) Something that would tie those colors together.
Find fabric to go with the comforter and cover your throw pillows.

Mu first thought is a butter yellow, but you should find bedding/ accents you like best and go from there.
What about French country, and go with yellows and toile fabrics....
just ideas.

start collecting coka cola stuff, the colors are red, it would be perfect. i have a friend that collects cola cola items and her kitchen is red and white, it really looks very nice. good luck.
