There's nothing you can do, sweetie. If you have already gone through the "I'll take care of him/her" phase, there is little else. If you are older (like going to be moving out soon) you may be able to convince them to keep the cat for a little while until that happens. But to be fair, at least they are trying to find a good home for it. Cats are expensive to keep because they need to be fixed (all cats should be fixed, indoor or outdoor cause you never know) and anything could happen, it could get hurt or sick. It would be unfair for your parents to keep a cat if they know they are not willing to pay for its care if it gets hurt or sick. You also have to consider that they probably see it as being something that would keep them from being able to travel worry-free, it is a good 10-year responsibility, not something to take lightly. And what if you are 14ish and in 3 years you move away to university and are in a dorm or apartment and can't take it? At this point they would have to take care of it. I am sure if you talk to them and find out their reasons, you will understand better why they need to get rid of her. They probably feel they are doing what is best for the cat, whether you can see it or not. If you get involved with trying to find a home for it, you may feel better about it. Like talking to people who would potentially take the cat, or trying to find loving homes among your friends at school.

It would help if you gave more details like why they want to find a new home for her. If it is because of the money, then tell them you will get a job (like babysitting) to pay for the costs of caring for her. If it is because of a bad behavior I need to know what she is doing to tell you how to correct it. If it is because you are moving and they can't take the cat to the new location there is not much you can do about that. If it is because someone has allergies then tell them you will keep the cat in your room.
Please give more details.

I feel for you I have to give my dog away he is in the paper currently. It is really a terrible feeling. There must be a reason why they are doing it. Is the cat distructive or are you moving? Either way I hope they will change their minds or if your lucky no one will call on it. Is it for the best cause its easier to think of the positives of the situation. I wish you luck!!

oh dear, poor you and kitty.
well why?? do your parents want her gone? is it cos they cant feed or desex her? is it cos the landlord said no pets and they broke a rule? or that she roams and people complained.
you need to ask your parents why, and see if you can find out, what you could do to make it ok , if possible, for her to stay if you love her.
if they wont listen or can,t.allow her to stay, then you ask the person who answers the ad a lot of questions to be sure she goes to someone else who will love her too. and maybe?? if they were local , you could visit sometimes?

Have a friend answer the add. If someone that is close to you has the cat, you'll still be able to see it. Give it a try. It might just work for y.

BEG! say that you will do anything!! say you will put the litter box in your room and always keep it clean so they will never have to mess with it and you will buy all the cat food. its what i would do. use your emotions to be manipulative. its worth the try. if they love the cat they will want to keep it after a little convincing

Why do they want to get rid of her? Tell them you will be 100% responsible for the cat if they'll let you keep her. Show them how much the cat means to you.

I know it is a rotten thing, but I'm afraid there isn't much you can do to keep her under your roof. What you MIGHT be able to do is try to find her a new home yourself. Preferably with someone close by who you know. That way you can visit with her and keep an eye on her. Good luck! I know it hurts!

Grow up and take accountablity for her. You must prove to your parents how much you love her. She is a living thing, not your favorite toy.
This worked for me, tell them you will never forgive them and you don't understand why they are doing this.
Why are they getting rid of it?
Fight for what you believe to be the right thing.
