Yes, so long as the birth certificate has Canada as the place of birth, your child is by rights a Canadian citizen. It may take a long time to go through all the paperwork though... it took me about 6 months.

Yes, except if it is a child of diplomats and neither parent is a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident. However in Canada this is statute, unlike in the USA where it is by [interpretation of meaning of certain] Constitutional wording (which some congressmen have just announced they will challenge).

I think that they he would be a canadian citizen thats why for example i know that people come to america & probably canada so they can have their kids here and they would be american citizens and the government would let the parents stay in the country
