well there's a boy in my school and i rarely know him. he roams around my class all the time and he told my friend ( he lives near her house) that he fell in love with him when i was like 6. i don't even know him properly now. he even told her that im sexy. i don't know whether she's lieing. please tell me that whether he likes me.

Well, you'll never find it out yourself if you don't just ask.
Like you said you rarely know this guy. If you see him roaming around your class just smile at him or if you bump to him just say hi. And see what would be his reaction. Would he smile back to you? Or would he say hi back to you?
Maybe after awhile you guys would have a conversation. You might be turn out good classmates or even good friends.
After that if your comfortable of asking him "the question". Then ask him in a nice way..... Say "Well, i was just wondering 'cuz my friend been tellin' me this. She/he said that....." then go from there.....

No matter what your age is now, but if he has fallen for you since you were 6, he needs treatment. You don't need to think about such a perv.
Secondly, whether what your friend said was true or not doesn't matter. What matters is your feelings for him. If you are not interested in him, just ignore him. And if you are interested in him, just ask him. Tell him whatever your friend said about him, and ask him whether it's true or not. If this is true that he fell for you since you were 6, back off...

Ask him..
Well dont ask him if he likes you.. that's a bit presumptuous.. ask him if he's been talking to your friend..
if he goes blank then you'd know that your friend's just playing with you.. if he goes red and answers the question then that's something to think about..
The thing you really want to ask yourself is...
do you even really like this guy?
